David
Johansson

I photograph hotels, kitchens and people in Tyrol, run DAJOHA, a small studio for photography, social media and design, and pass on what I learn along the way: in the master class at WIFI, at the University of Teacher Education Tyrol and on stage.

About

Hi, I’m David.

Born in Innsbruck, with Swedish roots. I trained as an Interactive Art Director at Hyper Island in Stockholm, spent a short time at Jung von Matt in Zurich, and then the mountains called me back. I’ve been self-employed since 2012, and my studio is in Zirl, just outside Innsbruck.

I like working where images, design and technology meet. That’s why I’ve spent the last while digging deep into AI in marketing, and in 2026 I started the Prompt AI Marketing Conference in Vienna.

At the Tyrol Chamber of Commerce I sit on the committees of the advertising and market communication group and of the guild of professional photographers, where I speak up for the creative industry in Tyrol.

Before going all in on my own business, I played in the Austrian tennis Bundesliga. And a cinnamon bun with coffee isn’t a snack for me. It’s culture.

What I do

Three tracks, one signature.

01

Photography

Hotel, food and business photography across Tyrol, for places like Alpin Resort Sacher, Stanglwirt and Hotel Klosterbräu.

What I pass on

I teach because you only really understand a craft once you have to explain it. In the classroom and on stage, I focus on what works in real projects.
